Bandín  é un lugar da parroquia de Carcacía no concello coruñés de Padrón.

Neste último dión vemos emparentados o significado de teito e palla, (en tempos antigos os teitos eran de palla) Agora dise dión, pero nós sempre dixemos dín, con significado de teito.

Así que, probablemente,  Bandín signifique teitos brancos. aínda que é pouco probable que estean a referirse a teitos brancos producidos pola neve (xa que estamos preto da costa) e si a teitos con certos materiais brancos, (que non podo imaxinar que son).

Tamén é apelido.

Entón sería do tellado das mulleres, da protección das mulleres seguramente a tradución máis apropiada pero que non sabemos exactamente que é. Tellado branco si, pero protección das mulleres non, unha prenda?, un refuxio en guerra?...
